Gay Rights against Religion…

I thought today couldn’t get worse, however having read the newspapers and watching BBC News - I am now becoming angry.

Today some snobby nosed silly Right-winged Christian diplomats believe they have the overruling right to not accept Gay Couples and individuals for adopting children via their Christian adoption agencies.

Now some of you may know that I am a Gay Man, I have been for too many years. I have a wonderful partner of almost 2 years, and we are planning to settle down at some point and adopt. Now what is getting my goat is that on the one hand all religious leaders are trying to create a sense of acceptance and well-being between each others religion, but once homosexuality is mentioned, then everything goes sour.

I personally do not care who or what someone is (religious or otherwise) as long as they are a cool human being with a sense of humour. However I feel that is mainly because I would expect anyone I met to except and understand my sexuality. This is mainly due to the fact that I see sexuality as a trivial thing, it doesn’t make me any different really compared to you. I can drive a car, I can design websites. It is not a disability in anyway. So why make it out as one? More importantly, what would happen if people did not see a sexuality, but it was somehow a religion in itself. Then would anyone question a religious group about how suitable they are for adoption?

What gives the Christians the right to forcefully disapprove of anything?
