Rant of the Day - The World is Agest!

The way the world works at the moment is ageist. We start off in the world, set to school and maybe further education, and then we have to find a job that doesn’t pay that much which means we either have to find an extremely high mortgage to purchase our first pad, or rent a place forever until we realise there is nothing better.

Meanwhile, most of our parents’ generation have been able to purchase houses to make homes and have been able to afford a lot more with their money before everything became so stupidly expensive.

Most young people cannot learn how to drive unless their parents are able to foot the bill. Basic wage is such a joke that after paying off all your bills you will end up eating beans on toast until next pay day. And meanwhile banks with loan & credit card companies are trying to get you to dig yourself in to a deep hole full of debt as an ‘easy’ way to get yourself moving in the ‘big bad world’.

And if all that wasn’t enough… companies are employing us young people as cheap labour – with all our up-to-date education, knowledge and general experience – which is of course making the bosses far too rich, and leaving all young people high and dry.

Not a happy place is it really? But what can you do about it?
