Is there something better, or should I stop trying?

I am getting increasingly more concerned about the way things are going in my little world. Things that I had always regarded as certain, have turned out to be false. Things that were always hopes, never seem to be achieved or resolved. The more I try, the harder I fall… so this all begs the question: “Should I stop trying?”

With this lovely credit crunch, and the fact I am now practically jobless (as my web design company crumbles away), I am in a catch 22 situation - I love working for myself, and yet I am unable to at the moment. However, I do not wish to sign on and become yet another unemployed statistic.

Any suggestions or ideas out there?

Why is the word ’statistic’ underlined in green?

Simon - I do ‘do’ things with my life thanks. And having a ‘proper’ job is NOT the answer to everything that I would deem wrong with my life at the moment.

Dom - I don’t really know to be honest?! I think it might have something to do with the spell checker I have installed in FireFox, which is sponsored by Google. It is how the checker indicates that the word is ‘OK’ after changing it. I might have clicked ’submit’ while the checker was still active?
