Doctors have found a cure for HIV/AIDs – Why isn’t the media talking about this?

I was just catching up on my podcasts / general web type stuff, and came across this. It was mentioned on Diggnation.com, about how an American doctor has found a cure to HIV/AIDs. What I do not get, is that why wasn’t this information on BBC News 24, Newsnight etc?

The sudden news about Michael Jackson’s passing last night caused millions of people to swamp online services to find out if it was true or not to such an extent that Google thought it was under attack, the BBC has reported. Millions of people who Googled the star’s name were greeted with an error page rather than a list of results. It warned users “your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application”.

Ok, in the UK the media are STILL going on about this, and to be honest I do not know why! Below, I have found the supposed phone call that has caused so much issue, which was broadcast on the radio over a week ago. If you listen carefully, Jonathan Ross actually causes the issues, and then it all goes out of control. But it is very funny, and we shouldn’yt expect anything less from Russell Brand. A CHILD flasher has been exposing himself to elderly women on their own doorsteps, the News can reveal. Police have launched a hunt for the young 5ft 2in pervert, who is thought to be aged between 11 and 16. He has been knocking on doors in Cambridge and terrifying pensioners.
