CUSAGC ‘Forward’ Hike – Results

Looking over the traffic to this site over the past few days, I have noticed a lot of fellow scout leaders who had been a part of the hike have been finding us looking, while trying to look for the results. So… here they are, in a pretty PDF, downloadable form: CLICK HERE!
Well done to More >

Great feedback for the CUSAGC ‘Forward’ Hike

Just received a really nice email from Clare of CUSAGC fame concerning the ‘Forward’ Hike we were helping out at yesterday. Just to be sure everyone who volunteered their time yesterday gets to read this, I thought I would post it on here. (I also love the feedback from the Leader ‘Roger’ from 2nd Langham More >

Cambridge Scout District site down (Temporary solution)

Today I wanted to go and buy some lovely badges from our local Cambridge Scout Shop, but couldn’t remember it’s opening times. So I went online, went to my bookmarks, and realised the Cambridge District Scout site is no longer there. I paniced. Quickly, I started Google searching for the information I needed – but More >

Jobcentre Plus are useless! Almost 2 months on, and still nothing!

Just got off the phone from the Jobcentre… which wasn’t exactly worth the time at all. Over the past few weeks / months that religiously keep sending me letters with pre-paid envelopes to send them more information about my status or a new doctor’s note [etc.], but I haven’t received anything of what they keep More >

Cool new design for 2010… SORTED!

So… I have been working on this new version of the Dirty Boxers site for a little while now, and I think I am almost there. The problem is, at least for me, is that I have a load of different elements and general stuff I produce all around the world of pixels – and More >

Well… We were SUPPOSED to be going to a Quiz Night!

Yesterday, we all decided that we would go and visit the Cambridge Muppet Network who were going to a Quiz Night out in the sticks, north of Cambridge. Now, unlike us, the Muppets meet on a monthly basis, and so we don’t really get that many opportunities to met up with them.
We all met up More >

A big day for Camp Cambs…

Today marks an important step towards where we wish to take the Camp Cambs project.
With previous versions of the site, all the Venues, Event Organisers, Support Groups and Organisations (VESOs), needed to email the team to submit their content. This meant a very small group of people had to individually add the pages of content [...]

God, I’m stuffed!

This fine evening was, of course, Pancake Day… And MY GOD did we celebrate!

Members of CUSAGC and Ventures met up around Jenny & CJ’s house, and proceeded to stuff our faces with as many Pancakes as our stomachs could manage. Too be honest, we lost count of how many we actually consumed, but it was More >

Cambridge Venture Network Unit is now a Society!

It has been a little while since we have updated the site with some news… But to be honest, we have been a little busy!
One of the biggest changes to our unit over the past month is that we have become a registered Society with Anglia Ruskin Students’ Union. This means that we are not More >

Now I’m just a bum spounging off Taxpayers…

Today has been spent mainly organising how I will be able to survive while signed off from work. In my previous post, I explained how I was a few days short to be entitled to Sick Pay via Staples.
So today I phoned up the Jobcentre Plus ‘hotline’ concerning my options, and thankfully everything seems to More >
